Information on on-going activities and exchange of good practices considered particularly useful. SISAI was asked to cover 'Principles of IT Architecture'; develop policy for storage, distribution and archiving statistical software within the ESS. Main Conclusions from 2nd SISAI Confirmation of need of information exchange The participants welcomed the information session consisting of nine items with a wide spectrum of initiatives in the ESS and beyond. Principles of IT Architecture Four presentations, coordination by the Enterprise Architecture function of Eurostat item 3.4 of ITDG agenda Discussion on secure architecture item 2.3 of ITDG agenda Working group on ESS Security and Secure Exchange of Information Expert meeting on ESS security and Secure Exchange of Data 13/14 Dec 2012. Software sharing policy SISAI created a task force operating mainly by virtual means to discuss Overview (catalogue, ownership, responsibilities); Life cycle steps (development, maintenance, roadmap, phase-out); Distribution (advertising, prototypes, demo); Documentation (guidelines, template, user support); Certification of quality. Five MS's participate: CZ, IT, NL, PT and SI (SAB observer); Eurostat to coordinate. Work started in November 2012. Second meeting beginning of December.
