National ICT co-ordinating structure 21.12.2001: Change of Law on Central Administration Sections (fundamental for administration): the new Section “Information Technology” was introduced 1.07.2002: Minister of Science (at the Office of the State Committee for Scientific Research) responsible for: IT infrastructure, networks and systems in administration; Establishing of IT standards in administration; Supervising and supporting of IT project in public central and local administration; Education and vocation on IT Technology (standards); Development of Information Society in Poland; International cooperation within the IT sector and participation in the EU programs. 1.04.2003: Ministry of Scientific Research & Information Technology (in the place of SCoSR) MINISTRY OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Administration Back office: System of National Registers National Register: database systems, essential for State, economy and society, with quality and reliability, warranted by the Law. In Poland there are almost all necessary systems: National Registers (existing IT systems): Central Registry of Citizens (PESEL) - Census REGON (Enterprise Statistical Register); Judicial Registers (Pledge, Business Register); Tax and Customs Registers (POLTAX); Social welfare and labor system (SYRIUSZ) Planned and Developed Systems: Central Registry of Drivers and Vehicles (CEPiK) Integrated Cadastral System (physical, legal, fiscal) Social and health security registers ...
