The Blue Planet The Earth is called « blue Planet ».This blue colour is caused by reflection from the oceans which cover 70% of the area of the Earth.Water is distributed on Earth as freshwater and salt water in the oceans. Typically, fresh water is defined as water with a salinity of less than 1 percent than that of the oceans, below 0.035‰.

The freshwater is just 2,5% of the total water of the world and more than 6 billion of people have to share it. Unfortunately this water isn't shared well in the different countries.
