Moving on. does anyone know what a young adult novel it Moving on...does anyone know what a young adult novel it? Can anyone name an example? YA Novel?!

Young Adult Novels or YA novels : Six defining characteristics of young adult literature 1) Memorable and relatable characters 2) Authentic voice and dialogue 3) Characters face challenges and experience growth 4) Sense of humor 5) Deals with issues important to young adults 6) No unlikely coincidence Young Adult Novels or YA novels :

A young adult novel are novels that are written for your age group A young adult novel are novels that are written for your age group! But, even adult and grandparents can enjoy them as well! I spend most of my time reading these types of novels because I feel that I receive better understanding and knowledge from them!

Discuss: Why are these themes are so important in our everyday lives. Themes for this novel! Death Guilt and Blame Respect and Reputation Betrayal Sex Violence Choices Love Discuss: Why are these themes are so important in our everyday lives. Why would these themes be important to have in a novel?

When I wrote Thirteen Reasons Why, I felt confident that teens would understand and appreciate the ideas I wanted to talk about in the book. And I've received many inspiring letters from readers saying it made them more conscious of how they treat others, as well as the importance of really reaching out when they need help and not simply dropping hints. With adults, my fingers were crossed that they would see this as an opportunity to begin a dialogue with teens about some important issues. Thankfully, they've jumped at the chance. It's been wonderful to hear about some of the conversations that have started. Of course, simply hearing that they loved the book is great, too! Note from Asher

Think about any book you have ever read in your life Think about any book you have ever read in your life. It could be a simple children book or even a comic book. On the back of novels authors write a summary to get people to read their book. Write me a summary of that book that makes me want to read it! Make it interesting, suspenseful, or even funny. Make me what to read it!!! If you really can’t think of a book, than do a movie Assignment

Have you ever wondered, “Why me Have you ever wondered, “Why me? What did I do to deserve going through pain like this? How was I chosen?” Well these were probably statements going through Clays head the night he started to play those tapes. The tapes that came in a tiny shoebox and were delivered to his doorstep that afternoon. Seven pre-recorded tapes. You see, these weren’t just any recorded tapes; they were tapes that had her voice on them. The voice of the girl who just committed suicide. But what’s on those tapes will change his life…will it be for the better or for the worse?

Let's look an at outline for the rest of this semester. Closing
