QUESTION WORD WIZARD 201.8.6 Answering the Five W + H questions (i.e., Who, What, When, Where, How, Why).

WHO Who is used when asking about a person. Who are you? Who is that? Who did that? Who hid my shoes? Who are you going out with?

WHAT Use the word what when asking about an object or an action. What time is it? What are you doing? What is your name? What did you do last night? What is that?

WHEN Use the word when to ask the point in time something is going to happen. When are you going to do your homework? When is lunch served? When will you clean your room?

WHERE Use the word where to ask the location of something. Where is your father? Where are my shoes? Where do you go to school? Where am I?

WHY Use the word why when wanting to know the reason for something. Why is the sky blue? Why are you laughing? Why do snore when you sleep? Why do I have homework?

HOW Use the word how when wanting to know the process of something or the condition of something. How are you? How do bicycles work? How many eggs are in a dozen?
