Announcements/Reminders Mrs. Fetters  Announcements/Reminders -THIS THURSDAY is FAMILY FITNESS NIGHT at 6:00! We have some fun activities planned, so please come out and support Chickasaw and healthy lifestyles!  **As a way to promote Family Fitness Night, the school is being asked to desk out in athletic gear on Thursday! Go all out!  (Plus, it’s our PE day! ) Please see parent note about IXL and Learn Zillion skill videos! Homework Packet *Due Friday* Reading passage with questions, spelling contract (3 activities- 1 per night for 3 nights), adding and subtracting on a number line practice/ reading a pictograph sheet, vocabulary practice with remaining four words! Don’t forget to study vocabulary and read each night!  Upcoming Assessments Spelling assessment (Friday), math assessment (Friday), informal assessment on fables and identifying character, setting, and central message (moral) This week’s “I Can” statements are listed on the back of this sheet, and the vocabulary words and definitions can also be found in your child’s daily folder.

“I Can” Statements Reading- *These standards are for our six week unit. Thefore, we will focus on some more than others each week, however we will hit all of them this unit . RL 2.1- I can ask and answer questions such as who, what, when, where and why and how to show understandings of details in the text. RL 2.2 I can recount stories, including fables and folktales, from diverse cultures and determine their central message, lesson, or moral. RL 2.4 I can describe how words and phrases supply meaning and rhythm in a story, poem, or song. RL 2.9 I can compare and contrast two or more versions of the same story by different authors or from different cultures. Math 2. MD. 6 I can represent whole numbers and their sums and differences within 100 on a number line diagram. (Learn Zillion codes : TU6HFAY, KR9D5AG 2. MD. 10 I can draw a bar graph and picture graph to represent a data set with up to four categories. I can solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using information presented in a bar graph. (LZ Codes: M6AF4JH, GYTAJK9).
