Young Addaction Lancashire Paula Harrison – YA Service Manager

How it all started….. Initially commissioned in 2006 so we are 10 years old this year! Two separate county contracts with 8.5 staff in Central and 7 in North. 60% alcohol referrals, 30% cannabis and 10% mixed with up to 15 OST clients. Focus on “tier 3” treatment and care planning.

Where we are today! Seven year contract with three years initially and + 1 thereafter Lancashire wide staff team of 32, with 7 from additional contracts, Resilience, HEART and Mind and Body. 75% cannabis referrals, 20% alcohol and 5 % NPS and cocaine. 0 OST clients for 2 years Focus on Early Intervention and Prevention

Addaction have retained the Lancashire YP substance misuse service contract with expansion into the east of the county Increased age range up to 25 years Subcontractors; The Children's Society and Positive Prospects Wider service spec with a more holistic approach Incorporate the 5 ways to well being
