Demographic Information

Individual and Unit Engagement with the Strategic Plan

Individual and Unit Engagement with the Strategic Plan (Cont.)

Individual and Unit Engagement with the Strategic Plan (Cont.)

Individual and Unit Engagement with the Strategic Plan (Cont.) We’d like everyone at the college to understand that SP(ing) is important for everyday work. A lot of room for improvement here. Half of the people say “it is absolutely necessary for us to progress as a college” (what they believe) in previous slide, yet many of those that say it is important have only reviewed it at best. So how can we better engage them in the process?

Disaggregation of 51 percent in Q 6 Of the 75 (51%) in Q6 who said SP “is absolutely necessary for us to progress as a college”, 27 (36%) never look at it. 43% only have reviewed it at best. We want to see a reverse result.

Knowledge of the Strategic Plan and Its Institutional Impact -Good: b. Goals are clear! -Can be improved: b. This supports q1 result, showing that around half of employees got involved in the development of the plan. f. we want to do better! -Not that good: c, d, & e: high in ‘don’t know’ ‘Don’t know’ response is high. Improving communication of the strategic planning process might help reduce that.

It appears overall that: Some final thoughts… It appears overall that: it would be really valuable for training opportunity to become available regarding to strategic planning; there should be more effective engagement in and communication about strategic planning; there is a need for leaders to infuse strategic planning in every program, service, department, and office at the college. These lead to the 4 guided questions that will be coming next. We need your inputs.
