Imagine for a moment what living in a perfect world would be like…..

Like a lot of us today Jesus dreamed of a perfect world Like a lot of us today Jesus dreamed of a perfect world. For centuries Jewish people had waited for a Messiah to come. This Messiah, they believed would guide and protect them. They expected a king or someone who had great power would be there Messiah and that this man would save them from Roman rule. However when Jesus came along he was just the son of a carpenter. He was not what the Jewish people were expecting.

He began telling people that the kingdom of God was here on earth and that he would help them create it. Jesus’ vision of the kingdom of God was very different to how people expected it to be.

Jesus’ believed that by showing love and kindness to everybody on earth we can create a perfect world or “The Kingdom of God’

He imagined a world where…... We show love to one another. Show justice towards our neighbour. Live in peace.

To help people understand his vision for the world we live in he told stories. These stories were called parables. A parable is a simple story with a moral or spiritual meaning.
