Roasting vs. Toasting… Roasting…. When someone is made fun by an individual or group of people…. This is usually done by telling jokes at the expense of the person being roasted. Toasting…. When someone pays tribute to another individual for recognition of something they have done or to acknowledge them with a compliment.

Heritage Elementary Challenge Let’s see if we can fill up the wall underneath Ms. Herrera’s Counselor’s Corner bulletin board with post-its full of toast-its. Instructions…. Fill out as many post-it notes as you can by giving compliments to others. The compliments need to be genuine compliments not just words thrown on a post-it to an individual to fill up the wall. Our goal is to NOT use hurtful words such as those used in a roasting. We want to spread kindness through our words and to make others feel good by toasting them with compliments and praise. 
