Presentation transcript:

Northern Uganda currently plays host to over 1 million refugees from Southern Sudan. These displaced people, mostly women and children are living in transit and settlement camps across the North West of Uganda. “I have been made to leave my home and become a refugee three times in my life, and all I want to do is go home again!” Sudanese man, Nov 2017

Uganda has one of the most enlightened refugee policies in the world welcoming everyone without limit and making land available for them to live and grow food as many will have to remain years before it is safe to return home. Nevertheless as the crisis develops there is a growing unmet need for clean water, counselling, homes, education, health care and food.

How can we help?

We can help by joining with Bristol West Deanery in raising money this Christmas to help some of these men, women and children in their need. Donations should be sent to the bank account on the last slide of this presentation. “Thank you for your help and generosity in responding to this huge need.” Alison Rowe, Bristol West Deanery Link Chair For more info contact Alison on: amrowe@hotmail.co.uk
