Agenda Friday March 31, 2017 Do Now: Based on the information gathered over the past two days, do you believe that the South needed to modernize its economy to compete with the North’s economic power or not? Defend your position with information gathered in perspectives activity and key steps in the cotton cycle. Do Map analysis and write results on map sheets. Complete think pair share. HW: E.Q. Sheets due April 11th, 2017. Unit test April 11th 2017.

Changes in Cotton Production What major change in cotton production do you see in this slide? What factors may have lead to the spread of the “cotton kingdom”? How might the cotton cycle that we discussed yesterday benefit from this expansion of production? What major geographic features are located near plantations?
