September 2008 doc.: IEEE 802.11-08/1003r0 August 2010 Proposal for Addressing Figure 11-8aa TS Setup when initiated by the AP Date: 2010-08-01 Authors: Rohit Suri, Cisco Alex Ashley, NDS Ltd
Abstract Option 1 Option 2 Aug 2010 doc.: IEEE August 2010 Abstract Option 1 Currently ADDTS Request is a frame, originated by non AP STA, requesting to setup TSs using TSPEC and TCLASS elements. The proposal is to define a new frame, ADDTS Reserve originated by AP STA, commanding non AP STA to follow TS parameters using information provided in TSPEC and TCLASS elements, if possible. This would define a general purpose frame which can be used beyond 802.11aa. Option 2 Modify proposed four way handshake to be converted to three way handshake, with no need for ADDTS Complete.
