Printing press Applies pressure to a print by turning a handle or wheel to get a quality print outcome 8. Layer Applying something ontop of another. For example you could print one print on top of another to build up layers of colours 9. Cut to waste Cutting away your lino and reprinting on top of each other to show layers of colour 10. Hand tint Colouring by hand your print after it has been done., For example with drawing ink or water colour 11. Mixed media Using more than one material together: for example collage and printing over the top 12. Mark making Lines, dots, dashes can all be cut into lino . Extended project .Using print extend a project you have already done such as take a closer look or war and piece to produce a print out come Development of ideas Mount all your prints up and annotate to show how you have experimented with print and how your ideas have developed to a final print outcome you are really happy with Design Use your print outcome in a design for something else like Kiran Ravillious does. Could you design wall paper, soft furnishings etc for interiors or a logo for a company ? Mount board Use mount board to present your print work neatly making sure you meet the criteria . Positive Space Positive space refers to the space where the object is . Negative space Negative space refers to the space which surrounds an object in an image. You will need to think about this when you design your lino print to make it interesting.
