Relief printing Printing from raised areas by cutting the unwanted areas out 2. Intaglio print Etching into a material to print the low areas 3. Lino Print A material used for relief printing that is easy to cut into and work with to produce multiple prints. 4. Roller Use a roller to apply thin layers of ink onto your relief print 5. Artists proof One of a kind. The first print or the one the artist is most happy with initialled A/P 6. 1/12 Written on a print will indicate that it is one of a series of 12 7. Printing press Applies pressure to a print by turning a handle or wheel to get a quality print outcome 8. Layer Applying something ontop of another. For example you could print one print on top of another to build up layers of colours 9. Cut to waste Cutting away your lino and reprinting on top of each other to show layers of colour 10.
