GMC Online Courses at a Glance All GMC Online courses are 100 percent online All assessments, activities, and resources are online. These course are asynchronous. Assignments are open for eight days during the first seven weeks of the course. They are open for six days during week eight due to grade reporting deadlines at the end of the term. Students can view their grades online at any time in their course grade book. In addition to working on this material during the normal school day, students who have access to the internet can work on their courses at any time of the day, everyday of the week. 12/2/2018

The Cohort Method and How This May Help One of the unique characteristics of our online program is that we can register your students in course cohorts. This helps create a similar environment to on-ground courses, but the online environment means that students do not physically have to meet together in one location with the instructor. Cohorts at GMC Online require a minimum of four students to complete. At the time of registration with our advisement/registration team, if there are enough students from your program to establish a cohort, one is created. If there are not enough students to create a cohort of ONLY your students, then all your students who desire to take a specific course are still put in the same course and combined with other MOWR students from another high school. 12/2/2018

GMC Online and the School Day-Options Some of our partner schools have met this challenge very proactively and have blocks set aside during the school day where dual enrollment students report to computer labs/resource centers. Others have devoted personnel to their dual enrollment students (Jeff Davis County High School) who coordinate schedules, and set up times that students can focus on their assignments and course requirements during the school day. Some partner schools have used the GMC Online courses in lieu of the high school course and allowed students to use that block to devote to their online college course. 12/2/2018
