Figure 2 Distinct clinical phenotypes (3) of patients with IC/PBS based on identification of overlapping conditions. Phenotypic progression over time may occur in patients originally diagnosed with organ specific IC/PBS to regional and then systemic pain syndromes. For patients originally presenting with other associated condition (IBS, FM and/or CFS) progression trajectory might be bidirectional.
