(Please refer to the following) ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT STANDARDS: All equipment/material shall conform to the latest issue of all applicable standards as established by National Electrical Manufacturer's Association (NEMA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). All equipment and material, for which there are OSHA standards, shall bear an appropriate label of approval for use intended from a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).
110.3 Examination, Identification, Installation, and use of Equipment Equipment and conductors required or permitted by this Code are acceptable only if they have been approved for a specific environment or application by the authority having jurisdiction, as stated in 110.2. See 90.7 regarding the examination of equipment for safety. Listing or labeling by a qualified testing laboratory provides a basis for approval.
