Research Excellence Framework 2014 A UK-wide assessment of research quality Reaffirms Lancaster’s position as a leading research intensive University 35% of Lancaster’s research ‘world leading’; 48% ‘internationally excellent’ 10th for research environment 18th for overall GPA 13th for percentage of 4* 20th for research impact 8 disciplines in the top 10 by ‘intensity weighted’ GPA Research funding from HEFCE will increase by £850k per year following this strong result (only research university in NW to receive an increase)
