Data from CRA #590 for F09 to S18 semesters – basic information on all enrolled students, including majors and minors One entry for each major or minor, so double majors show up twice CRA #659 has one row for each student, with extra columns for each additional major or minor ~305,000 entries for 60,000 students covering 18 semesters

~4% of students have two or more majors, down from 6% in F09 ~22% of Spring students have a minor, but only 15% of Fall students New GE minors ~40% of graduates have a minor Many minors added just before graduation ~20% have multiple minors

Large changes in incoming students from 2009 to 2014, but relatively stable numbers since then %FTF has increased to 63%

Last three years ~65% of transfers in the Fall, and 35% in the Spring 800+ in Spring not enough to compensate for the ~1,600 Fall grads + dropouts and dismissals

Out-of-State has also declined, but not as much. Foreign Students have declined precipitously, a 50% decline in three years. Large falloff in both FTF and transfers Out-of-State has also declined, but not as much. Drop in FTF and transfers has plateaued

Number of URM students has more than doubled in 9 Years. %URM is now 39% (CSU average is 43%)

Number of URM FTF has more than doubled in 9 Years, from 600 to 1,300. Transfers have also increased, but not as much – an 80% increase URM FTF increases plateaued in 2014, overall numbers of URM should plateau next year.

Growth in URMs is from Hispanics and some growth in Blacks Asians flat while number of White students has declined “Two or more” is tied for third most common ethnicity

FTF are 55% female while transfers are 50:50. Grad and Post-bac are strongly female Seniors are 50:50

Over 60% of all students are seniors or juniors Majority of UD students are transfers Number of seniors is growing, but isn’t back to the peak in 2011 Many Freshmen don’t get 30 units in first year

Strong growth in AGR, BSS, ECC and NS majors Significant declines in CME,HFA and Undeclared majors Little change in business majors

BSS, CME and Bus get a higher % of transfers than FTF ECC and NS get a lower % of transfers than FTF AG and HFA do about the same for FTF and transfers
