FRC Funding Opportunities

Traveling to a Conference? Attending Only? Travel with Students $850 Travel Fund $650 Presenting/chairing as session? Leadership Fund $850 + Registration Faculty may apply for each fund only one time/academic year

Faculty Leadership Fund Purpose: Faculty presenting papers, chairing a session, serving as an officer, or as an invited discussant in a professional conference. Application: Rolling Review Max: 85% of Travel, up to $850 + Registration

Faculty Professional Travel Fund Purpose: to assist faculty with travel to professional conferences without the requirement of a presentation or administrative involvement. Application: Rolling Review Max: 85% of Travel, up to $650 (including Registration)

Faculty Travel with Students Fund Purpose: to support faculty who accompany students who are presenting research at the conference. Application: Rolling Review Max: 85% of Travel, up to $850 (including Registration)

Scholarship & Teaching Planning a Scholarly Project Small Grant ($550) Summer Fellowship ($2,300) Planning to Improve Teaching Crisafulli Award (Max $1,250)

Faculty Small Grant Fund Faculty seeking funds to underwrite the costs of research/creative projects. Application: Rolling Review Funding up to $550 Receipts are now necessary for purchases, otherwise the money will be given as salary and taxed.

Summer Fellowships Used to support research, scholarship, and/or creative projects, curriculum and instructional development. Traditionally an average of six fellowships of $2,300 have been awarded every year Application Deadline Submit to the Dean By January 24th Submit to the Provost Office by February 1st

Crisafulli Fund Teaching Development Funds Faculty seeking funds to underwrite the costs of Pedagogical Professional Development. Application: Rolling Review Capped at $1,250 for this year Total available $5,000

Additional Funds Small Grants to Students Fund Funding up to $150/student or $300/group Please note: Students from the same lab are considered a group and should submit their application together Receipts are necessary for purchases.
