How would you describe the cities along the Indus? Harappa & Mohenjo-Daro Perhaps largest early civilization (exception of Persian Empire) Well planned cities Streets laid out in grid patterns Each with a large temple/fortress Homes made of uniform clay bricks

Why are archaeologists interested in the Indus Valley cities?
Why is this order important? How does it compare to Babylon? What does that say about contact with Mesopotamia?
How do archaeologists think society was organized in Indus Valley? Does that mean they were a true civilization?
