Canal: tunnel Haversian canal in compact bone that provides blood, nerves and lymph vessels to bone to nourish osteocytes.

Condyle : Rounded projection

Crest, Crista : high ridge

Facet : small smooth area

Foramen : opening or hole Obturator foramina or Foramen magnum (Skull)

Fossa, Fovea: basinlike depression Usually occupied by muscles or tendons
