Native Americans -Crossed the land bridge during the last Ice Age -Started as Hunter/Gatherers (nomadic) -Eventually developed Agriculture (stationary) -adapted to their environments -close relationship to the land communal ownership – everyone owns everything -belief in universal spirit – all connected through nature -Tribal communities – elders in charge
