Summary of her Life Lois Lowry was born in Hawaii on March 20, 1937. At college she attended Brown University and during her 2nd year she got married and had 4 kids. She moved to Maine and returned to college, and she received a degree. In the mid-1970’s she started to write stories, poems and books.

Interesting Facts Lois Lowry has writing many young adult thriller books. She has won many awards such as the Newberry Medal.
