CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN AIM for Seva has helped in educating 30,000 rural and tribal children across India, and here is how children living here can participate in this grand program of caring and giving. The children participating in AIM for Seva will get an opportunity to enrich the lives of underprivileged children in rural India. It will be an educational and inspiring experience, knowing that they are making a difference in a child’s life. Quote from Swamiji: The highest form of service is to help a person who is incapable of thanking in return. CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN

Parents – Teaching children about Giving Teaching kids about caring and giving is a valuable lesson for both you and the children. It is important that children learn at an early age to be considerate of others and to show compassion. When you educate children regarding service to others, who are less fortunate, you teach them important life lessons.

Parents & Children – How will it help? Gives children an opportunity to perform/organize/execute an event. Fundraisers will show them the significance of presentation, setting and reaching a goal, and accepting responsibility for completion. Creates a bond between children when its done as a group activity. They will learn about team work, social skill, working together, sharing and compromising with others. Also brings family and friends together. Caring and helping others enhances self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence and also provides a sense of purpose. College recruiters search for kids involved in worthwhile causes which shows strong character values such as compassion, kindness, empathy etc., besides academics. Suggest to organize in summer so, it becomes an activity when school is out

Children - What do you need to do? You need to have a passion or interest in helping the underprivileged Get approval from parents Form a team - like minded 5 or 6 is ideal and commit to execute it Willing to spend time on this besides all your other activities Provide your talent to the event !!, possibilities are performer, program manager, audio/visual, CMO, sales, host, MC, logistics, CFO AIM for Seva CHC can publicize your achievement in our news letters and publications also where AIM for Seva advertises like in India West, etc.

Suggested Small AIM for Seva Projects Sponsor a child for three months – $125 Sponsor a child for six months – $225 Sponsor a child for one year – $450 Sponsor two children for one year – $900 All donations for above go towards enabling a child’s education, books, healthcare, room, board, clothes, and all incidentals that a child needs

Suggested Small AIM for Seva Projects Sponsor Health Care Expenses – $2500 Sponsor a Computer Lab for children – $5000 Sponsor a Solar Project for Green Energy – $5000

Success Stories Last year, Aria and Siana Kapoor raised $6000 to setup a computer center for the boys living in AIM for Seva’s Free Student Hostel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The center has 7 Lenovo computers, a printer and a trainer to teach the children. Aditya Kanakasabapathy (11th grade) recently moved to Bay Area. Both Aditya and his younger brother Niyanth back in NY collected bottles, recycled them and donated the money collected to AIM for Seva. They called this project - Bottles for Kids. They collected $450 (with some matching funds) to sponsor a child for one year.
