Objective Examine the potential role of gender affirmative hormone treatment (GAHT) as a service entry point to facilitate the service uptake of HIV testing Syphilis testing Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)

Methods Characteristics of transgender women clients and their access to gender affirmative hormone treatment and other health services were assessed Uptake of HIV and other health services between transgender women who accessed and who did not access gender affirmative hormone treatment services were compared

Progress to Date (as of May, 2018) So far Tangerine received 4,500 visits from almost 1,600 transgender clients. Of those, 1,374 were transgender women. 91 per cent received HIV testing and 60% paid for syphilis testing. Tangerine successfully provided HIV testing to one third of trans woman populations at high risk in Bangkok.
