Programs Funded under the Successful Children & Families Focus Area: Camp Programs – Camp Care, Activate – 178 Campers Parent Education – 525 Served Conflict Awareness – 100 Family & Youth Served Family Visitation Center – 700 Supervised Visits, 135 Safe Transfers Equine Therapy – 70 “Kids at Risk” After School Program – 50 in Chesapeake City 3rd Grade Environmental Education– 1100 Children STRIDE – 12 Students Taking Responsibility Total Served: 2,870
Health & Wellness Programs: Smart Moves – Resistance Training (Drug/Alcohol)- 400 Served Healthy Food Program – 110 Served Equine Therapy – 140 Veterans Food Pantry - 6,281 served Total Served: 6,931
Independent Living Programs: Vocational Services -200 Served Residential Shelter, Empowerment Center & Rotating Shelter -2,497 Served Affordable Housing- 23 Adults w/Disabilities Home Rehabilitation and Repair - 20 homes Transportation assistance- 222 Served Total Served: 2,962
How Can You Become Involved? Give: Contribute to United Way through your workplace campaign. Advocate: Be passionate about what is important to you. Write a letter to the editor. Volunteer: Become a Board Member or Focus Area Committee Member. Participate in a Day of Caring.
