Presentation transcript:

The most exciting DDC control to be introduced in the last 30 years. It provides the building owner with an economical and gradual opportunity to fully automate their facility from pneumatic to all electric DDC.

Imagine having a thermostat in your home that you can't turn off Imagine having a thermostat in your home that you can't turn off. That's exactly what commercial office buildings, hospitals and airports etc. have to deal with. Commercial office buildings usually operate 12 hours a day but the average occupancy is 6 to 8 hours. Hospitals and airports occupancies drop to almost 50% at night. They cannot shut off the pneumatic thermostats! There are 50 million pneumatic thermostats in the nation.

Problem I feel better already. We listened to the building owners and they just can't afford $2000-$2500 per zone cost to replace their pneumatic thermostats. A high-rise with1000 thermostats = $2 to 2.5 million that's a big number! Ouch!!! Yes, in this case a Band-Aid is a good start to your complete pneumatic to DDC retrofit. ecWizard $400 to $600/Zone. A high-rise with1000 thermostats = $400,000 to $600,000 big difference from the above $2 to 2.5 million. I feel better already. One quarter of the cost for all of the energy savings of a complete retrofit.

The Smart Office of the Future Just like The Smart Home of the Future, the office has similar wireless opportunities. Now that you have installed a state-of-the-art wireless network with the ecWizard it opens the door to economical solutions and opportunities to add additional wireless devices. It's time to plug and play! Tenant and/or office condo wireless metering of plug loads, lighting and HVAC. Energy cost per square foot/zone. Wireless motion detectors able to turn the lights off and HVAC. Wireless programmable thermostats. Most pneumatic facilities have dozens of supplementary A/C units. IT Rooms etc. Wireless security cameras. Wireless door locks. Wireless smoke detectors Wireless desk temperature/motion /light level sensors. Selected desks or all desks in the office can have this feature. Wireless plug load control switches. Advanced wireless lighting control. Wireless automated window blinds Wireless speakers and music Wireless temperature, pressure, flow, amperage sensors for mechanical equipment. Energy costs/fan, chillers etc. We can now economically know the energy cost of all the components in the mechanical system.
