Main issues - legal Census law not yet adopted – TR does not need one Legal basis for access to admin data exists in 5 out of the 7 countries, however issues exist Data confidentiality ensured by statistical and/or census law in all cases

Main issues - methodology Most countries opt for traditional census, except: TR – fully administrative MK – mixed ME – not yet decided All countries plan to carry out a pilot census Use of admin data (depending on quality) All countries except TR to include sensitive questions
