Reception Parents Welcome

Tonight… Transition Arrangements Website Information What your child will need Communication A day in Reception How you can help at home Questions

Transition into Reception We aim to meet each child and their pre-school key teacher to discuss their learning and any information that may support their transition. There will be an opportunity to ‘pop in and play’ with your child on Tuesday July 3rd ,between 9-1pm. There will be time to meet all the Reception staff and ask any questions. After ‘pop in and play’ we will write to each family to confirm which class your child will be based in and who their main teacher/s will be. With this letter will be an ‘all about me’ sheet to let us know anything about your child that you think we need to know/you would like to tell us before they start with us in September-please hand/send/email back to us- before the last week of term (by Friday 20.7.18).

In September… At the beginning of the September term we will hold an open meeting to update you on new routines, homework /reading information and give dates for upcoming parent workshops. There will also be parent- teacher meetings for every child before the first half term holiday. In the morning, staff prioritise settling and caring for the children, therefore we ask that you only give quick messages. (E.g. We will need to know if anyone different is picking your child up or if they aren’t feeling 100%.) Feel free to make an appointment to see your child’s main teacher if you have any concerns, please don’t wait until parent meeting week.
