SHOULD – understand how to answer ‘Recall of key events’ questions. COULD – plan and write an answer on either the new farming methods or technology in helping the Homesteaders.

Level Three = 7 – 9 Marks = Grades B/A Shows an understanding of aspect chosen and links to how it helped the homesteaders to settle on the Plains. Example – New farming methods: explains how dry farming and use of Turkey Red Wheat helped the homesteaders. Technology: shows how new machinery directly helped homesteaders.
