ShawHankins provides the SCCPSS Benefit Resource Center website which gives you access to all the plan details you need to make decisions on your new hire benefit elections. In addition to your non-medical coverages, the Benefit Resource Center also contains information on the State Health Benefit Plan and your TRS retirement plans. For easy access we have included links to the SHBP portal and the voluntary benefit enrollment portal, bswift, on the new hire page. Please review your options carefully, as any elections you make now will be locked in through the end of the 2016 plan year. The only opportunity you will have to make changes until then is if you experience a qualifying life event. Examples of qualifying life events include marriage, divorce, death, birth, adoption, change in dependent eligibility status, or a change in work status that affects benefits eligibility. Please notify your benefits department within 31 days of experiencing one of these events, in order to make changes to your coverage. We would like to remind the new hires that did not transfer from another school district to go online to complete your SHBP elections. Remember, you may access the SHBP portal and the ShawHankins bswift portal through the new hire page on this website.
