Science Tools Created by Kylie Ryder

Beaker Measures Volume of a liquid (mL)

2. Graduated Cylinder Measures Volume of a liquid (mL) More precise than a beaker

3. Dropper Handy for dropping single drops of a liquid

4. Test Tubes and Test Tube Rack Temporary storage for chemical samples and specimens.

5. Erlenmeyer Flask Measures Volume of a liquid (mL) Unique shape is good for heating liquids

6. Triple Beam Balance Measures Mass (g)

7. Meter Stick Measures length/distance in cm and m

8. Hot Plate Heats substances to a desired temperature

9. Heat Lamp Light and heat source

10. Test Tube Clamp and Beaker Tongs Transporting hot test tubes or beakers safely

11. Alcohol Burner Heating objects with alcohol fuel source

12. Goggles Eye protection

13. Funnel Pouring liquids into smaller container (i.e. test tube)

14. Mortar and Pestle Crushing up solids into powder

15. Wire Gauze Multi-functional - but mainly used as a surface to heat objects on. Holes allow heat to pass through.

16. Bunsen Burner Heats objects using natural gas

17. Ring Stand Elevating containers to heat them underneath
