Why Protest Now? Violence, kidnappings, murders by cartels have been happening in the last 6-8 years There are 27,000 people reported missing in Mexico Journalists, doctors, activists, and countless others have been killed by cartels/police The disappearance of 43 student teachers changes narrative (story) that the media has told us about who gets kidnapped or killed by cartels

Why Protest Now? We were made to believe those who were kidnapped or killed were involved in “shady” deals or businesses This causes people to not get involved, remain complacent But the killing and disappearance of 43 student teachers changes the narrative
