New Student Requirement for receiving C.T.E. Endorsement at Graduation INTERNSHIP CREDENTIALS

What is an Internship Credential?

How do I earn an Internship Credential? Interview and get selected for a Run Crew position on the Musical or an S.D.F. production Receive a favorable Evaluation from your supervisor Write a Report on your experience utilizing the rubric Create a Photographic Record utilizing the rubric

Do I have to do extra work to earn the credential? NO! All of the components are already required by the department

Why are we using the credential system? As a NY state certified C.T.E. program we must document student W.B.L. experiences The rigorous responsibilities of the Run Crew positions on our shows warrant additional student acknowledgement The Credential system is a portfolio building activity

How many Credentials do I need to fulfill this requirement of C. T. E How many Credentials do I need to fulfill this requirement of C.T.E. endorsement? FRESHMEN MUST WORK ONE S.D.F. PRODUCTION (1) SOPHOMORES MUST WORK ONE S.D.F. PRODUCTION (1) JUNIORS MUST WORK ONE S.D.F. PRODUCTION and THE MUSICAL (2) SENIORS MUST WORK ONE S.D.F. PRODUCTION and THE MUSICAL (2) TOTAL (6)

Can I earn additional Credentials? YES! 1) If the internship is approved by the W.B.L. Coordinator 2) If it is at least 4 weeks (20 days) in duration 3) If your academic standing is not in jeopardy 4) If you fulfill the requirements as listed above

Can other Credentials take the place of my S. D. F Can other Credentials take the place of my S.D.F. or Musical Theatre requirements? NO! Unless you are participating in a semester long (paid) W.B.L. Internship with one of our industry partners outside of the building

Why should I earn Credentials beyond what is required for C. T. E Why should I earn Credentials beyond what is required for C.T.E. endorsement? Portfolio building Stellar letters of recommendation Personal satisfaction

Are these Credentials the only requirement for C.T.E endorsement? NO!

Will accommodations be made for students already in the process? YES! Only the previous school year (and forward) must be documented
