Monday/Tuesday, December 12-13, 2016 Do Now: Read your independent reading book and record in your logs. Try to complete some of the work in the packet. Be sure to leave your log inside of your classroom folders. You no longer need a daily parent signature. Remember to bring your book to class each day, or you will have to read another book or do achieve during this time.(20 min.) Independent Reading: Read your AR Book. Remember you leave your logs in the class folder, but you take your books with you and bring them to class each day. Achieve3000.com SBAC Challenge Lesson: “The Wasps and the Willies?” Also complete the Stretch Article and Activity. Your short constructed responses will be graded. Remember to use the R.A.C.E. strategy. Finish Early: Complete the Stretch Activity on Achieve 3000

Wednesday, December 14, 2016 Do Now: Take your AR Quiz as soon as you enter the room. You may use the link below: Accelerated Reader 2. Leave your logs inside of your class folder. 3. Make sure you shared your Essay with Ms. Star (Period 1, specifically, no student shared with me) 3. If time permits: Log into Achieve3000.com and complete an article of your choice.

Thursday/Friday, December 15-16, 2016 Do Now: Time to select your next book. Librarians let each group go up one at a time to select their books. Be sure to have them sign out. Be sure to give them a reading log/ assignment packet. As students are selecting books, complete the Homophone Worksheet until it is your turn to select a book. (15-20 min.) Independent Reading: Take this time to begin reading your book. Remember you leave your logs in the class folder, but you take your books with you and bring them to class each day.
