Peace One of the greatest characteristics of the Messianic rule (Isaiah 2:4; 9:6-7; 11:6-9) Areas of peace that we have in Christ: Peace within (John 14:27) Peace between men (Ephesians 2:14-18) Peace with God (Romans 5:1)

Peace Within

What is Peace Within? Firm faith that God is in control (Hab. 2:20). Confident assurance that we can make the best of everything (Ps. 23). Realization that the most important things are as they should be: Habakkuk (Hab. 3:16-19) Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego (Dan. 3) Paul (2 Tim. 1:12; 4:6-8)

How Does One Have the Peace Within? Build firm faith in God (Is. 26:3;Ps. 119:75). Learn to see things from God’s view. Learn what is really important (Matt. 4).

How Does One Have the Peace Within? Be simple in expectations (Phil. 4:11-13; 1 Tim. 6:6-10; Jas. 4:1-4; Matt. 6:33-34). Be able to say, “With God’s help I can accept this too”. Be able to say, “I have done what I could”. Take time to feed the soul through prayer, study, and meditation.

Tears Do Not Mean There is No Peace Consider Jesus: In the garden (Matt. 26:37-39; Lk. 22:41- 44). He endured conflict (Heb. 5:7-9). He did what had to be done!

Tears Do Not Mean There is No Peace Peace is knowing: All has been done that can be done (Phil. 4:6-7). Freedom from guilt. One is part of a purpose greater than one’s own self. There will be something beyond.

Peace Within The peace that the world knows is fleeting. The peace that we have is the peace of Christians! Those who are not Christians cannot have it, or even know it.
