Why did de Leon go on his voyages? He set out to find the fountain of youth, rumors that if you drink from the fountain, you’ll stay young forever He also set out to find gold and land for the Spanish

Where did Juan Ponce de Leon explore? He explored Florida He also explored the Americas on Columbus’ second voyage there

What was the result of his voyages? Juan Ponce de Leon discovered Florida He established the oldest European settlement in Puerto Rico He also discovered the Gulf Stream (a current in the Atlantic Ocean)

When did he die? Native Americans shot Juan Ponce de Leon with arrows when they arrived on the west coast of Florida and later died from his wounds in July, 1521.
