How to Use the Prospecting Function through MLS
Before you begin, click on the Search tab 1. Do a generic property search 2. Then Click “ More” at bottom 3. Fine tune your search 4. Click “Save” on the right side 5. Name your search 6. Save as “Save New” or “Update”
7. Click on Prospects Tab first, then click New Prospect 8. Fill out all information that is available (more information is better) Email Address (Most important) Call Back – if you want a reminder (date) Expire After – 6 month is best Notification – Max Frequency First Meeting - When met (date) Type - Buyer or Seller Status – Active or Inactive Reverse Prospecting – You choice to enable or disable Alias – Optional 9. Click Save Changes
10. Click on Saved Searches Tab - Click down arrow on “Add a Search..” - Select a search and click “Add” - Customize to fit your clients needs Available to Prospect – Yes Recipients Report Do not send notification – Choose which to send to client, if any. Custom Subject Custom Message 11. Click Save Changes
YOU ARE DONE! 12. Click on Notes Tab Notes: This is for your eyes only Client cannot see this space Put information on where and how you met client Put personal info if needed Record contact dates, etc. 13. Click Save Changes Ann is looking to buy in the next month or so. I need to keep in touch. 14. Last click on the Mail Log tab Here, shows when and what was sent on your behalf to the client. 15. Finally, click Save and Close YOU ARE DONE!
