Presentation transcript:

Capstone Topic: Adolescent Stress in High School Problem: Some students experience stress that manifests into anxiety and/or depression because of their inability to think clearly or handle the situation. Solution: Provide students with strategies to help develop their metacognition and to help them look forward in times of stress rather than focusing only on the moment. Provide freshman/sophomore students with senior role models who can share their struggles and how they were able to cope and move on. Action Product: Create a video that targets students and provides them with strategies to cope with stress. The video will also include cameos of older students who speak about their own experiences and how they coped. Project Goals: To provide adolescents with healthy ways to deal with and manage stress. To teach students through the experiences of older students that life does go on, and that situations usually get better with time.
