A little bit about myself By Greg White, Aged 20 from Doncaster

My Qualifications/Training The Hayfield School 2 GCSE Grade C’s in Science (Core) and Maths 2 GCSE Grade D’s in English Language and History NVQ Level 2 in German 2 BTEC Level 2’s in I.C.T (Double Award) and Life Skills Doncaster College BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Games Development - Triple Grade Pass BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Interactive Media – Merit Since I left college I have also been on the ambitions course that was set up recently by Doncaster Council which was helped me to both develop and realise some of the skills that I now currently have

Previous Experience/Skills The only work experience I have done so far has been that which I have been doing at the British Red Cross here in Doncaster over the past few months as a volunteer essentially working in the role of sales assistant. During that time I have done a variety of duties which have helped me gain and develop the following skills Good customer service skills A constant eye for detail Teamwork skills How to adhere to official health and safety standards

3 things that I’ve learned on the ambitions Training programme How to establish stronger and healthier workplace relationships with colleagues in the workplace for better efficiency That after applying for jobs it’s always best to make a note of the vacancy and some of the key attributes they’re looking for so that if they contact you in the future you can remember which of the many vacancies you’ve applied for they’re getting back to you about and what they’re looking for in someone who’s looking to fill that position That I’m a much more focused individual than others who likes to think about what they’re about to say before they speak and much prefers to do something based off an established guide rather than going with the flow although I do feel that I’m somewhat adaptable and can till do so when the situation requires it

The Kind of work I’m after I’d initially like to get on the job ladder by getting myself into a business admin apprenticeship From there I’d eventually like to use that apprenticeship as a springboard to get onto another one based around social media marketing Finally once I’m in the social media sector I’d gradually like to make my way up the ranks to the point that I eventually become a social media manager or something along similar lines
