A little about me… McCleskey Middle School and Gifted Endorsement 2011-2014 HTMS Student 1999-2002 Kennesaw State University 2010 HTMS 2014!

Ms. Yura Kim Graduate from Walton HS Current senior at KSU Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education reading and language arts. Student teaching at HTMS fall 2015

One more expectation… READING!!!!  I have challenged our students to read 150 minutes each week during the year.

How will my student be graded? Summative (Essays/Projects/Tests) 35% Tests, essays, projects Formative (Quizzes/CW) Reading Comprehension, Skill check, Vocabulary 25% Homework 5% Primarily completion

How can YOU help your child prepare? Table talks Weekly (ish) table talk discussion prompts e- mailed out. Encourage their reading habits and discussions Be aware of help sessions Reading and LA: Thursdays
