MOSUL RESPONSE UPDATES • JCMC will supervise the camp closure and returns process through committees at governorate level. Each committee will include: local authorities, at least two NGOs and two UN agencies. The process for NGO selection to be clarified. Still, no updates available on the engagement process between JCC and JCMC for the camps under KRI. • Access: a new process will be put in place for the people returning from Mosul to KRI camps. IDPs are mostly returning to As-Salamiyah, Hamam Al Alil, Qayara camps. The Protection cluster is working with EJCC to locate the most vulnerable cases among people who are not allowed to return to KRI camps through check points and facilitate their movement. • Request for camp managers to collect the number and the reason people are returning to the camps. RWG noted that the reason for returning to camps is mostly economic and protection issues. MOSUL RESPONSE UPDATES

CCCM INTENTION SURVEY MAIN POINTS • IDP households living in camps more frequently reported an intention to move back to their area of origin in the following three months than they were in September 2017 (48 per cent in January versus 24 per cent in September). o During the second round, households more frequently reported their original home being destroyed (36% compared to 19% in first round) and more frequently reported an intention to move to an abandoned apartment/ house (9% compared to 1% in Phase I) o Households reported needing basic services (56%), improved safety and security (47%), and shelter rehabilitation (37%) in the area of origin to be able to return safely and with dignity. o The most commonly reported reason for not being able to move back to the AOO was the lack of financial means to afford the costs associated with returning and restarting, this is followed by damaged/destruction of the shelter in the area of origin. Reported to Fed MoE representative UNICEF was asked to contribute with transportation costs for teachers to reach the camps Need to conduct assessments in schools to understand the intention of the students to return to schools in their area of origin or elsewhere. IDP RESPONSE PARTNER UPDATES Updates by UPP Ankawa IDP schools targeted (Salam 1, Mariam al Tahira, Shahidain Bahnam, Sara): 38 teachers received 1 day training on PFA for children and 4 training days on resilience groups workshops. The same teachers are starting to implement these resilience groups workshops in the schools. Sayidat al Bishara school in Ashti 2 camp is still closed, in spite of the permission to open from Baghdad MoE representative in Erbil. IDP RESPONSE PARTNER UPDATES

Humanitarian Response provides access to country sites and a "one-stop-shop" for global information coordination resources, such as normative products including guidance notes and policies, cluster specific information and data, toolboxes and internet links.
