Comparing Guppies to Goldfish Part 4

Daily Objective Each kind of fish has unique structures and behavior. Different kinds of fish have similar structures and behavior.

Vocabulary Compare – to show things are the same Goldfish – a type of fish Guppy – a small type of fish Female – a girl Male – a boy

Introduction Today we are going to observe a different kind of fish called a guppy. We are also going to compare the guppies to the goldfish.

Observation and Discussion Now that you have had a few minutes to observe … Do guppies and goldfish have the same body parts? Which kind is bigger? Do they move the same way? Are they the same color?

Observation and Discussion Guppy Behavior Now we will feed the guppies. Do they eat the same kind of food? Now lets put a tunnel in the aquarium. Do they react the same way the goldfish did?
