Exam Structure 2 sections analytical writing (30 mins each) Score range 0-6 2 sections verbal reasoning (30 mins each) Computer adaptive format for 2nd section Score range 130-170 2 sections quantitative reasoning (30 mins each)

Analytical Writing One Issue essay (construct your own argument in response to a prompt) One Argument essay (critique argument presented in prompt) Scoring 0-6 based on: Content, Organization, Language, Grammar Holistic grading

Verbal Reasoning Question Types Text Completion Approximately 6 per section Try to spend 1-1.5 minutes each blank Sentence Equivalent Approximately 4 per section Try to spend 1 minute per question Reading Comprehension Approximately 10 per section 1-3 minutes to read passage, 1 minute per question

GRE Word Processor Cannot do: Pre-test computer-great time to familiarize yourself with features. Can do: Delete, cut, paste, undo most recent Navigate as usual Cannot do: Copy, drag/drop, multiple undo, tab/indent, spell check/grammar check, text formatting (font, bold, underline, etc)
