Big Top Spaghetti Dinner Mrs. Gesenhues News Woodfill Elementary School September 8, 2014 Volume 3 Issue 2 Announcements Tonight is the first night I have assigned math homework. Please remember that the math homework can be found in the Everyday Math Home-Link book that I sent home. Your child will need to complete the assigned page, tear it out, and put it in the front pocket of their folder to return to school tomorrow. It was good to meet a lot of you last week at Parent Orientation. I know I passed along a lot of information so feel free to email me or sent a note in your child’s planner if you have any questions about our classroom. Please continue to empty your child’s folder with them each night. You will also need to sign their behavior calendar and sign their agenda (with the book they read that night) as a part of their homework. I am attaching a letter with information about the Scholastic Book Orders we will be doing in our classroom. You are welcome to place an order online anytime. This is the only way we are able to do the book orders. We can no longer collect money to send them in. I will place an order the 5th of every month with whatever orders I have online from families. This way if you order books for a certain holiday or special occasion you will received them before breaks (i.e. Thanksgiving). Let me know if you want me to hold books for these special occasions. We will be taking a test called Cogat this week in our classroom. Please make sure your child is getting an appropriate amount of rest and a good breakfast to be ready to do their best on this assessment. WIN Time is off and running and I think the students really love it. It has given us a chance to work with many students that are not in our homeroom and cater to their individual needs. I am excited to see how much they grow through this iniative.
