FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. FOLLOW THE ROY HIGH DRESS CODE, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY (NOT SEEN OR HEARD). BRING ALL REQUIRED MATERIALS TO CLASS DAILY. The following are required each day in class - PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR OWN; I HAVE NONE!: a) textbook b) notebook with plenty of paper c) sharpened pencils or pens d) a graphing calculator (TI-83 - in any other, keep your manual handy! TI-89 or higher will not be allowed) DO NOT USE PROFANITY, PUT DOWNS, INSULTS, OR ENGAGE IN INAPPROPRIATE CONVERSATIONS. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM. WATER BOTTLES WILL BE ALLOWED.

QUIZZES & ASSIGNMENTS - 25%: Daily assignments will be given QUIZZES & ASSIGNMENTS - 25%: Daily assignments will be given. The following class day questions will be answered, and new material will be taught. The assignment is due the following day, or the day after questions have been answered. (The problem and the answer alone will receive a zero. Show a middle step wherever possible. Sketch graphs created on a calculator) Quizzes may be given from time-to-time. MIDTERMS AND FINAL - (15%, 15%, 15%, 35% ): All exams will be taken during class time. Tests need to be started and finished in the time allotted. Retakes of tests are not available. Textbooks and notes may not be used during a test, and calculators may not be shared. Some questions require the use of a calculator, so be prepared.

Cheating, Falsification and Plagiarism: Cheating, falsification, and plagiarism are defined as follows in the Utah State University Student Policy Handbook: A. Cheating involves intentionally using or attempting to use or providing others with unauthorized information, materials or study aids in any academic exercise or activity. Substituting for another student or permitting another student to substitute for oneself in taking an examination or preparing academic work is also considered a form of cheating. B. Falsification is the intentional and unauthorized altering or inventing of any information or citation in an academic exercise or activity. C. Plagiarism is knowingly representing the words or ideas of another as one's own in any academic exercise or activity. Discipline for cheating, falsification, and plagiarism will be handled in accordance with Article VI of the Student Handbook. Action taken will depend on the severity of the infraction. Under normal circumstances, the minimum consequence will be to receive an "F" grade in the course. All such penalties are at the discretion of the instructor.

ATTENDANCE On college campuses you are responsible for work being turned on the due date in whether or not you are in class; the reason for absence does not matter. The following compromises will be available for concurrent enrollment students. If you are absent, for one day, the homework that was due on the day you were absent will only be accepted on the first day back. If you are absent for two or more days, the homework that was due on the first day you were absent will only be accepted on the first day back. For any homework that was assigned on the days you were absent, you will be given an amount of time equivalent to your absence in order to turn in those assignments. You are responsible to come in and get instruction, or to get it from other sources - more time for assignments due to absences is not available. Any quizzes may not be made up; quizzes missed because of a school-excused absence will be marked excused. If there was a test on the day you were absent, you will be required to make that test up within one week (7 days) either during EO or another scheduled time. If a student is absent due to illness on the day of the final the teacher will need to be contacted THAT DAY by phone, and A DOCTORS NOTE WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED.
