Operational Goal 1 Northwest ISD will design dynamic learning experiences to ensure that all students are future-ready learners. Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Fine Arts 2015-2016 Accomplishments 40 Music ensembles received the “Sweepstakes” rating at UIL 26 Students qualified for state in areas of tech theatre, debate, band, and choir 12 Music students were selected to 2016 All-State Ensembles

Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Fine Arts 2015-2016 Accomplishments 8 Art students advanced to State VASE Student art work at Fort Worth Stock Show sold for $2450 The Northwest Sidekicks were the 2015 Grand Champion overall winners at the Marching Auxiliaries dance contest

Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Fine Arts 2015-2016 Accomplishments Significant increase in 2016 band, choir, and orchestra All-Region participants. 256 students were selected Northwest ISD performed a district-wide musical show for the 2015 TASA/TASB conference in Austin

Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Fine Arts 2015-2016 Accomplishments Fine Arts programs have received more than $400,000 in grants over the past 8 years Cheer teams competed in the 1st UIL Cheer Competition with BNHS and EHS competing in the finals

Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Athletics Athletics Participation Rates Middle School 37% High School 41% 2015-2016 Accomplishments 2 State Champions Female Wrestler at NHS (also 2016 Valedictorian) Female Shot Putter at BNHS BNHS Softball player was Valedictorian

Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Athletics 2015-2016 Accomplishments 55 College Signees Medlin 7th/8th VB 60-0 NHS Boy’s Basketball Regional Quarterfinals NHS Baseball player drafted by LA Dodgers (101st Pick) 3,662 Reindeer Stomp Participants BNHS Softball #1 Team GPA in the nation

Extracurricular & Co-Curricular: Athletics 2015-2016 Accomplishments 27 Athletes competed at State Tournaments in Golf, Cross Country, Swim, Track & Wrestling BNHS District Champs in Boy’s & Girl’s Soccer EHS District Champs in Girl’s Golf

Building Leadership Capacity Principal & Leader Cohort Groups Campus administrators and Curriculum and Instruction staff were trained on the Rigor and Relevance framework that included campus visits, analysis of student work, and a calibration of Districtwide expectations

2016-2017 Professional Learning & Resources Administrators will be deepening their instructional content knowledge and pedagogy Campus Leaders will engage in a Learning Cycle throughout the year that includes opportunities for leaders to work with a cohort Learning Team engaged in thoughtful analysis of instruction and learning across the district
