This is just a quick overview of reports and the Now What? Tools. PARAPHRASE: Reports are an integral part of mCLASS®:Reading3D™ because they: List all Benchmark and Progress Monitoring scores and reading levels. Provide a detailed explanation of scores. Graph student progress using Benchmark targets. Group students into Support Levels. Identify which students need additional support. Display the Probe Details with notes, motivation, and response patterns. Are available in a printer-friendly format.

Home Page Sync Status Tap Enter to view Web Reports. PARAPHRASE: This Home Screen is the main portal for mCLASS®:Home. Return to this screen by tapping Home at the top right of any Web Report. View sync status at every log in. Verify that the date and time of the last sync are correct to ensure you are viewing your most current assessment data. To access Web Reports, click Enter in the box with the Reading3D™ icon.

Select a Class District School Class Name PARAPHRASE: If you are a teacher with access to only one class or group, you do not need to select a class; the names of the students in your class are on the report. If you are a SPED teacher, Tier II Teacher, Coach, ESL teacher, or psychologist with full access to multiple groups or classes, tap the class name to select the class you want to view. Class Name

All available assessment data Class Summary Click Show Key. Assessment Periods PARAPHRASE: The Class Summary displays students in a teacher’s class or grade. Score information is divided into two sections, DIBELS® and Reading 3D. The DIBELS® data are displayed across four columns: Composite Score at BOY, MOY, and EOY, and Progress Monitoring. The Reading 3D data are also displayed across four columns: Reading Level at BOY, MOY, and EOY, and Progress Monitoring. MODEL: Sort Data by Composite for highest need to lowest need. Click the printer icon to print the report. ? links to context-sensitive information about the screen the user is viewing. Click Key to the right of the screen to see the key. Now What? links to Item-Level Advisor, Small-Group Advisor, and Home Connect. All available assessment data

DIBELS® Composite Score PARAPHRASE: The Composite Score determines the student’s Score Level and Likely Need for Support: green (At or Above Benchmark/Likely to Need Core Support), yellow (Below Benchmark/Likely to Need Strategic Support), or red (Well Below Benchmark/Likely to Need Intensive Support). The Composite Score is the best overall estimate of the student’s reading proficiency. A student with a green circle is on track; the odds are in that student’s favor of reaching later important reading outcomes. A student with a yellow or red circle is not on track; the odds of reaching later important reading outcomes are not in that student’s favor. Frequent progress monitoring of students whose composite score is Red or Yellow is required in order to ensure adequate progress; these students may require increased or modified instructional support to reach instructional goals. TRC Reading Level Select BOY. Instructional Reading Level PARAPHRASE: The Reading Level indicates the student’s final instructional level reached during the TRC assessment. The Superscript F or N indicates whether the level was achieved on a Fiction or Nonfiction text, respectively. The color of the letter corresponds to the Benchmark goals for that grade and time of year. Red is far below proficient. Yellow is below proficient Green is proficient. Blue is above proficient. Click BOY to move to the Time of Year view. Instructional Reading Level

TRC Summary Reading Levels Achieved Benchmark Goals Tap the title to PARAPHRASE: The TRC Summary opens when you tap a student's TRC Score on the Class Summary or the Student Summary. It displays the student's complete assessment history for TRC, including Progress Monitoring texts. Benchmark Goals display directly below the student's color-coded result for each measure. Click on a time of year in the Benchmark Scores chart at the top of the page to view the Benchmark assessment history in the chart at the bottom. Click on a title to access the Probe Detail. Tap the title to view Probe Detail.

Now What? Tools

Home Connect Letters Using the Now What? Tools, teachers can generate Home Connect Letters for each student after the benchmarking period. These letters provide parents the information about their student’s progress as well as some recommendations for things they can do at home. The letters are available in both English and Spanish. Steve Moore at Fuquay shared that his teachers use this in parent conferences to help parents see their student’s strengths and needs.

Small Group Advisor Another component of the Now What tools is the Small Group Advisor. This tool will group students based on their performance on one of the probes. This information can help teachers and Tier II interventionists identify small strategy groups that they can support.

Item-Level Advisor The final tool in the Now What? Suite is the Item-Level Advisor. This tool analyzes an individual student’s probe and identifies observations about the students errors, if possible. If it makes observations, it will provide some suggested activities. The activities are hotlinks that the teacher can access all of the information needed to complete the activity with a student.
