A Lot to Remember in 2015 Brethren: spiritual struggles with sin, illnesses, heartaches, etc. Evangelism: Jail work, support of preachers, personal work Edification: Caught-in-the-Act, Small Groups, Nursing Home Loving our neighbors: Coats With Love, Backpacks, Food, Serve Meals

Failures in 2015 Evangelism: Missed opportunities, refusals, pass-the-buck Sin: struggling against immorality, indifference, etc. Lack of love toward our neighbors: Lack of compassion, wrongful judgments, etc.

Start Fresh in 2016

Write Some Specific Goals Down Do you desire to share the gospel with someone? Write their name(s) down. Rom. 10:15 Would you like to have God’s word written on your heart? Memorize meaningful passages. Psa. 119:11 Mentor someone (2 Tim. 2:2); Find a set prayer time/place (Matt. 26:36); etc.

Be Accountable (Rom. 14:12) What good are intentions only? Rom. 14:12 Have someone you trust (spouse, friend) to know your goals and pray with you… help keep you accountable.

Pray, Pray, Pray (1 Thess. 5:17) Because we need God and His blessings upon all we do for His glory. Because prayer strengthens our resolve to serve our Lord and others. Because we’ll need forgiveness and mercy when moments of failure come. Because we’ll need moments of thanksgiving and praise for all the good God desires to bestow upon us.
